♥ Essence - Choose Me! ♥

♥ Hello Everyone~

Sorry for the lack of updates.

My major exams are starting in June/July D:

And theres a practice exam right before that major exam and those are starting...

NEXT WEEK! *Deep Breaths*

I'm trying to study as much as I can, so that means less updates for thy blog.

But ah, hopefully I can make up for that after my exams >o<

♥ Anywayy, heres a polish that's known to be a dupe for Zoya- Charla.

It's called Choose Me!, a blue/green duochrome with fine glitter.

Two coats for full opacity, application is great, dry time is alright.

Swatch, Swatch, Swatch.

♥ I loved the way it looked by itself, but I wanted to experiment.

After all it is my first and only duochrome atm.

So I opted for some matt.

(I used Rimmel's Matt Top Coat for this)

♥ Yeahh...Not a good idea, but ah, I removed it two days after. xD

It's a pretty color imo, but not something I'd wear twice.

I don't have Zoya's Charla to compare it with, but from looking at other swatches they look quite the same ^^

Oh Yeah, btw. I'm working up on a nail-art channel.

I'm quite stuck for ideas right now SO, any requests? xD

I totally stalled on the Christmas/New Years posts LOL (Sorry about that xD)

But I got something new for you - 

And that is Absolutely Stylish from the Color and Go  nail polish range~

( Please DON'T STEAL my swatches!
Tell me before you use them :D )

♥ A dark brown, nearly black with green shimmer.

Sounds interesting, eh?

2 coats, shiny and application's great.

(Dry time is the biggest fault I found in it, considering it's supposed to be a quick dry, 2 mins per coat maybe?)

The top of the brush is so cute!

♥ The green shimmer isn't very obvious without strong lighting but the dark brown color by itself is absolutely stunning, I loooove it (Wore it for a week and a bit, still wearing)

I'm definately going to get a back-up when I'm in the stores next time round.

(Btw, I'm a swapper now, WHOO! xD)

♥ I've got "Glisten Up!" from Essence today.

 Its a sheer baby blue polish, with flakies and glitter.

It'd be best for layering over other polishes since it's very sheer.
(Takes a long time to dry as well)

♥ As I said before, more of a layering polish than a full mani polish.

It's unfortunate that it's sheer, would have made a pretty polish.

What do you guys think?

I'm gonna try and layer it over a polish one day.

♥ Essence, Blue Lagoon ♥

♥ Hello everyone!

Sorry, I haven't updated in a while.

I've been so busy recently, tired and just didn't have the strength to go on the internet as much as I could BEFORE school started.

In other news, I love my best friend, Nadia! >o<

♥ I have with you today, Blue Lagoon by Essence (With a black tip)

Silly me forgot to take a picture of the color BEFORE I mattified and tipped it.

♥ So this is 2 coats, nearly 1 coat.

One coat of Rimmel, Matte Finisher.

I went over it with Blue Lagoon on the tips (Click picture to see larger)

And then I went over the tips again with, Barry M, black.

Quick dry and part of the 3 in 1 multi dimension range.

It does not disappoint and lives up to my expectations.

I love Essence!!!

↓ Don't mind the cuticles and messy clean-up. xD

 

♥ I must say, I need more patience.

But it dry quite fast, I just am a VERY impatient person :P

But tis a lovely color.

It just isn't the kind of blue I like.

I honestly couldn't describe it in any other way.

Thats how I felt about this manicure.

Moon nails weren't as good as I expected.

So I tried it "Revive" it.

♥ Big Mistake.

Fair play to you if you like it.

But I think it's a bit odd. >o<

It just had that kind of feeling!

I failed so many swatches because I moved and they got smudged.

Curse my patience...

So I'm just going to do parts!

♥Spot on! is a lightgrape color (Only way I can explain)

High Shine/Gloss, no top coat needed.

Dries fairly quick.

2 Coats to be opaque.

I have yet to be disapointed of a Essence nail polish!

After buying these polishes I was no longer hesitant to buy more!

Two coats needed and drying time was alright, very smooth application.

SO, SO, SO shiny! No topcoat needed!
I got staining on my skin/nails when removing :c

Honestly, I didn't expect much of it, since it had glitter, and I hate glitter (With a few exceptions of course)
But  I wore it once and now it'sone of my favourites!
